The associate treasurer is responsible for managing key aspects of the bank’s daily liquidity management, debt issuance (funding), investments and derivatives, defining and implementing a framework to be utilized in the day-to-day management of capital market activities, and assess the impact of business decisions. The associate treasurer is also responsible for providing clear and concise reporting of potential strategies while analyzing the adherence to regulatory and bank policy limits. The associate treasurer is responsible for managing and developing team members through communication, feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.

Qualified candidates will have a masters degree in business administration, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field or will have a CFA designation. Qualified candidates will  have eight years experience in fixed income portfolio management or trading; short-term money markets, treasury, agency, mortgage-backed securities and/or interest rate derivatives; five to seven years of relevant management experience; expert knowledge with the markets; and an understanding of finance, economics, accounting, investment, and banking principles and practices. Compensation for this position is $189,600 annually.

The General Counsel is responsible for leading corporate strategic and operational legal initiatives and providing legal advice to the credit union regarding a variety of matters including regulatory compliance, contracts, litigation, insurance and risk management, intellectual property, governance, consumer and commercial lending, deposit transactions, loan documentation, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and general corporate matters.

This position is responsible for ensuring that the activities of the credit union comply with lending, BSA/AML and other consumer protection laws, regulations, and statements of policy as well as internally-developed policies and procedures.  This position also oversees the compliance and risk management functions of Altura and its affiliate companies by directly supervising the Compliance Manager and Enterprise Risk Analyst.

Qualified candidates will develop and administer the credit union’s operational and strategic risk management programs including developing and implementing mitigation strategies.  They will also be responsible for the ERM platform, reporting, and enhancements. Candidates must have a doctorate from an American Bar Association-accredited law school, admission (and active license) to the California State Bar, a minimum of seven (7) years of legal practice or corporate in-house work, and financial services or credit union experience (with strong contracts and contract negotiations background) is preferred.  This position also requires excellent presentation skills with individuals and groups, the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects under heavy deadlines, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to travel as required. College-level mathematics and an understanding of financial accounting calculations are also required, and a fluency in Spanish is preferred.

The CEO is responsible for creating and enhancing the culture that adds value to the members and is in a strategic partnership with an engaged and high-performing board.

The CEO is accountable for the overall operation and performance of the credit union.  Serious candidates will demonstrate expertise and experience in creating a vision and operational plan that aligns with the relevant brand with the ability to leverage the credit union resources for the future.  Your ability to demonstrate cross-functional expertise and lead a high-performing leadership team with competence in financial management, enterprise risk management, strategic use of technology, strategic credit, investment portfolio expertise, and strategic brand and marketing is a plus.  This position will plan and direct negotiations pertaining to mergers, joint ventures, purchase or sale of assets, and thoughtfully manage risk. The CEO will also stretch the potential of the executive team as a coach-facilitator, supporter, and influencer.

We need to see at least ten years of executive experience leading within a retail banking organization with similar or greater complexity.  A graduate degree in business is preferred. More important is the demonstration of ongoing education and certifications relevant to a financial institution leadership.  The CEO will need to develop positive relationships with the board of directors, regulators and examiners, members, employees, and demonstrate an interest in developing industry relationships.  Compensation and benefits are competitive.
