While leaders develop a following around competency or virtuosity in their domain, such as finance, marketing, or technology, a leader's ability to move others effectively is also the result of their capacities to move people in the areas of Intellect, Emotion, and Embodiment, that is, their ability to show-up with a physical presence consistent with their thoughts and words.
