Our current membership is throughout the state of Colorado and we need potential board members who reside north of Monument, CO. Ent Credit Union’s board of directors is recruiting a board member who can provide thoughtful insights and diverse perspectives and who understands our membership and the communities we serve. We are seeking someone who has strong financial literacy, relevant operational and professional expertise, experience in consensus building, and a passion for continuous learning. Our ideal candidate must support an environment where forward-thinking is the norm and appreciate the contributions of other board members. Our growth strategies require our new board member to challenge the status quo in constructive partnerships with other board members and the chief executive officer (CEO) to support effective decision-making.
Ent’s board currently includes strong talent in executive and community leadership, financial services, accounting and finance, and business continuity practices. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have experience in strategic marketing, brand, and digital leadership. We are looking for someone who can also bring diversity of background and diversity of thought to the board team. Our ideal board member has a passion for the financial safety and soundness of our membership and values contributing to boardroom discussions and decision-making.
As an active board member, you will be mentored in an onboarding process to:
- Understand the credit union’s strategic vision and targets
- Participate in deciding the strategic direction of the organization
- Proactively participate in effective board governance and leadership
- Learn about the products and services and how they benefit members
- Gain knowledge of the credit union’s financials and overall performance
The average board member contributes a minimum of 150 hours a year in board and committee meetings and leadership conferences. You must agree to participate on a board committee and be a member of Ent. You will have opportunities to participate in strategic planning sessions, community events, conferences, and board training seminars.

Environmental, physical and psychological requirements:
Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods in a climate-controlled environment. Must be able to use fingers, hands, wrists for repetitive tasks such as typing, using a mouse, handling paper, currency, or coin, and operating a telephone. Demands for visual and auditory acuity are typical of an office environment. Must be able to interact via email, telephone, or in-person with diplomacy, tact, and courtesy with all members under varying circumstances. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Directors are paid quarterly, with compensation prorated based on positions held by Directors during the year as needed. In total, the maximum annual compensation level for fully engaged Board members who are meeting participation requirements and are performing at a peak level is $45,000.
