The board of directors (board) at USE Credit Union (USE) is searching for its next chief executive officer (CEO).  USE’s CEO embraces the ability to be a connector, networker, and influencer to the community and industry and is passionate about aligning an organization-wide vision and mission.  The CEO is an inspirational and compassionate leader to the executive team, staff, and board and cultivates a cohesive team to move the credit union forward.  As an agile, futuristic leader, the CEO is forward-thinking, adaptive to what’s on the horizon, and digitally minded.  The CEO collaborates with the board to fulfill the credit union’s strategic plan and vision, ensuring financial fitness and stability through ongoing strategic planning, thinking, and working with the executive team.

The board requires a CEO that embraces innovative solutions/products to enhance/increase market position, member growth, and member satisfaction.  The ideal candidate is the touchpoint of the credit union, can analyze the market, and collaborates with the credit union movement.  Serious candidates embrace and place a high value on the credit union’s culture, build on strengths, and identify weaknesses to further the credit union’s success.  The CEO anticipates and recognizes members’ wants and needs and brings value to its members.  In addition, the CEO attracts, retains, and develops people to build a solid executive team by understanding the talents and interests of those around them and provides leadership and guidance for CEO succession planning.  Finally, the CEO serves with integrity and is transformative, proactive, and an articulate speaker, writer, and communicator to the credit union’s staff, executive team, board, membership, and community.  Candidates need to possess a high level of strategic and operational understanding of finance and accounting, marketing, and operational functions as well as proven experience in decision-making.  A minimum of ten years of executive experience in a related field is preferred.
