First Entertainment Credit Union (First Entertainment) is conducting a nationwide search for its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The board of First Entertainment is looking for an extraordinary and dynamic leader who will take a strategic and visionary approach to day-to-day operations and long-term planning while providing leadership, oversight, and strategic direction to the credit union. The CEO must have the ability to gather and analyze information to make data-driven decisions on time. In addition, quick decisions are often necessary to take advantage of opportunities, and the CEO must be capable and comfortable making these decisions.

The CEO maintains a collaborative partnership with the board of directors to bring imagination and vision to how the credit union acts and moves forward. Awareness and understanding of marketplace dynamics are a must. Interpreting and sharing these findings, along with the related risks and rewards, in sometimes rigorous conversations with the board to propose and encourage innovative thinking and fiduciary soundness is required.

The CEO is the face of the credit union and will foster a strong and healthy corporate culture that engages employees, creates wealth for members, and has a positive impact on the community. First Entertainment services the creators of entertainment, those that support them, and the Los Angeles County community. Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with both our members and their communities is key to the success of the next CEO of First Entertainment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • At least five years experience in a comparable CEO role or another executive role in a large, complex financial institution
  • Thorough knowledge of the credit union industry, with a strong background in credit union finance, asset-liability management, complex investments, lending, information systems, and operations
  • Demonstrated leadership, vision, strategic and critical thinking, and operational excellence
  • Proven expertise in developing future leaders for business leadership continuity opportunities
  • Strong board/CEO relationship dynamics
