Black Hills Federal Credit Union (BHFCU) has an exciting opportunity for an outgoing and energetic individual to join their recently restructured executive team. This is a newly created position, and you will have the chance to build the chief experience officer (CXO) role from the ground up. The CXO will be the face of the credit union and will be charged with building a strategy and engaging with members to fulfill the organization’s mission: “We improve lives.”

The ideal candidate will be independent and forward-thinking while also being a collaborative part of the executive team. The CXO is a master relationship builder with a passion for creating and developing a strategic marketing plan across several branches while leading and developing a team of professionals. They will also work within the community to provide products and services in the markets BHFCU serves, provide input on competitive pricing and product effectiveness, initiate necessary change, and understand the pricing model and how centralization works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the market strategy by setting the pricing and profitability strategies within the markets and communities served
  • Interweave strategic awareness about culture, brand, and organizational changes across BHFCU
  • Lead annual sales production to meet organizational goals across products and services.
  • Lead the efforts to plan, organize, motivate, and control resources, procedures, and protocols to achieve specific goals
  • Develop productive and generative partnership relations with other executive team members and organization leaders to influence hundreds of people positively
  • Continuously develop leaders in markets BHFCU serves and provides one-on-one and team coaching
  • Work within the community to support community presence and outreach supporting the credit union’s cultural values
  • Strengthen relationships within the community to understand their needs better and align with strategic goals

CXO must possess a high level of strategic and operational understanding of finance and accounting, marketing, operational functions, and proven experience in decision-making. A minimum of five years of executive experience in a similar role within a financial, retail institution leading multiple branches and multi-level management is preferred.
