AEA Federal Credit Union (AEA) is recruiting strong lending leaders for a consumer lending manager (CLM). If you have experience in underwriting, indirect lending, and consumer lending, this is the position for you! The CLM provides supervision, support, and leadership to the consumer lending department and is responsible for analyzing and evaluating financial information, consumer lending, and loan servicing reporting, related reconciliations, and third-party relationships. 

The CLM reports to the senior vice president of retail and supervises the loan servicing specialist, loan underwriters, and title processing specialist. The CLM assists in coaching staff toward optimum performance in support of AEA’s strategic plan, department performance goals, and individual performance goals. As the CLM, you will foster an atmosphere of teamwork, collaboration, camaraderie, professionalism, and service. 

The CLM is responsible for staff training and development and conducts routine meetings supporting department activities and sales and service goals for both direct and indirect lending channels. The CLM maintains quality control and lending error reports for management distribution and reviews, updates, and creates procedures to support current consumer lending operations, products, and services. The CLM also acts as a senior loan underwriter.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of experience in a credit union or bank overseeing the consumer lending cycle including, but not limited to lending origination systems, lending cycles, underwriting and funding loans, supporting procedures, and credit risk assessments. 2-5 years of managerial experience is required, and indirect lending experience is desired.
