Arlington Community Federal Credit Union (ACFCU) is in growth mode, launching new products and services to propel the organization forward. It is an exciting time at the credit union, and they are looking to add a controller to the team. If you are a strong leader with a solid accounting and finance background, this position is for you. 

The controller reports to the Chief Financial Officer and provides outstanding service to members through leadership and administration of the credit union’s accounting operations. The controller ensures adequate internal controls, maintains accurate and complete financial records, and prepares timely and accurate periodic statements of the credit union’s financial position. 

As the controller, you will oversee daily finance and accounting operations, including directing the regular reconciling of general ledger accounts to financial systems records, bank and other financial institution accounts, subsidiary ledgers, and other financial records and ensuring timely resolution of exceptions, prompt and accurate reporting to management, and making appropriate recommendations for remedial action.

Candidates must be experts in GAAP and able to analyze statistical and financial data. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in a related field with similar responsibilities. CPA is a plus, and credit union or banking experience are preferred.
