Deedee Myers Receives PhD in Human Development
PHOENIX, Arizona, January 10, 2014 – DDJ Myers is pleased to announce that Deedee Myers, CEO and founder of DDJ Myers, Ltd. and co-founder of the Advancing Leadership Institute, received her PhD in Human Development from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California on January 10, 2014.
Her study, Lived Outcomes of Amputees Who Practice Yoga: A Qualitative Analysis, investigated the phenomena of the amputee doing yoga for the first time, and what they discovered about their soma through yoga on the mat, and the significance of transference of their learning from the yoga mat, to their life off the mat. She presented a transformative change model that came out of her data, and a new cycle of sustainable learning, applicable in many domains. Her findings will be published shortly, and she will be speaking about those models in future work.
