Sand joined CUES in 1999; she has since held several roles within the association, all focusing on helping companies and organizations establish and build business relationships with credit union leaders.

Dale Johnson retires and Gary Ahlgren is next CEO of Sun Community

Juan Cruz (Cruz), Board Chair for Sun Community Federal Credit Union (SCFCU), a $400 million credit union based in El Centro, CA, announced the retirement of its President and CEO, Dale Johnson (Johnson), and the hiring of Gary Ahlgren (Ahlgren) as the successor CEO. Ahlgren is currently Executive Vice President of USE Credit Union, a $850 million credit union based in San Diego, CA.

A Triathlete Amputee Muses About Missing an arm, but not courage

Triathlete, published author on leadership and management development, and mother of quadruplets, twins and three other children, DeeDee Myers never leaves the house without lipstick in her purse. She’s always prepared and presentable, no matter what. In Eighth grade her mother told her that she needed all the help she could get given that she was born with a congenital amputation of her left arm.
