BURNSVILLE – Firefly Credit Union’s Board of Directors has named Dale Turner as their new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective in November. Turner’s experience spans several financial institutions. He currently serves as EVP/Chief Sales & Service Officer for San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU) in San Diego, CA. Among his responsibilities is defining and driving consumer-centric financial solutions through SDCCU’s 43 branch locations, call centers, and the organization’s team members.

Commenting on his appointment, Turner said, “I am humbled and honored to have the opportunity to represent such an amazing organization in the growing and vibrant Greater Twin Cities Community. I look forward to continuing the Firefly mission in providing consumers with products and services that assist in their lifelong financial well-being.”
Turner has local roots, working several years in Minnesota, and growing up and attending school in the Midwest. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in communications from Wabash College and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Graduate School of Banking program.
Turner succeeds Firefly President/CEO Bill Raker, who is retiring after 21 years as the credit union’s leader. Firefly Credit Union is a full service financial cooperative with over $1.3 billion in assets. The credit union serves more than 75,000 members in the Greater Twin Cities Community with nine branch locations.
