Your Role: As the Chief Lending Officer (CLO), you will be at the helm of our lending function, providing strategic leadership. Your mission is to develop loan products that resonate with our members, foster growth, and ensure our loan portfolio reflects the needs of our members. What You’ll Do:
- Innovate & Lead: Develop and recommend new lending opportunities across consumer, real estate, and commercial loan products for our existing membership and the broader community.
- Strategic Growth: Assess and expand our loan portfolio, focusing on quality, mix, and size to meet our members’ needs while managing portfolio credit risk and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate & Elevate: Partner with our Chief Experience Officer to create a seamless loan application and funding experience. Work with our Chief Marketing Officer to market our lending products effectively.
- Strategic Vision: Play a key role in our strategic planning process, helping shape the future direction of the credit union.
- Lead & Inspire: Actively participate in various committees and ensure the continuous development of your team to drive performance and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Educational Excellence: A Bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is highly preferred.
- Proven Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership in financial institution lending/credit operations, with at least five years as the top lending executive at a credit union or bank.
- Strategic Mindset: Demonstrated ability to drive loan portfolio growth and develop new loan products that meet evolving consumer needs.
- Innovative Leadership: Proven success in breaking down barriers, paving new paths, and challenging the status quo to foster a strong member/customer service culture.
- Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively with other leaders to develop and implement organizational strategy.
- Passionate & Driven: A commitment to innovation, team development, and delivering exceptional service to our members.

The base salary range is $210,000 to $260,000.
