Cascade Community Federal Credit Union (Cascade Community) is searching for a dynamic, team-oriented leader with a background in the credit union industry to serve as the next chief executive officer (CEO).  This dedicated credit union has three branches and serves over 14,500 members. The credit union is seeking a strong leader to plan for the future growth of the credit union and its members; embrace the team focused culture of its employees; and support its initiatives.  The credit union strives to put members first, meet members’ financial needs, and give them easier ways to manage their money. They take the popular credit union motto “not for profit, but for people” to heart.

The CEO reports to Cascade Community’s board of directors and is responsible for the well-being of the credit union. The CEO must build relationships and collaborate with the executive team and board of directors to execute his or her responsibilities.  The CEO must enhance the supportive, collaborative, team-oriented culture Cascade Community has established. The CEO is responsible for strategically guiding the credit union toward its vision and educating the board on current and future risks and opportunities and being a steward to foster innovative learning.

The CEO must be approachable and have excellent listening skills.  The board is looking for a CEO who has realistic optimism and who is understanding and empathetic.  It is essential for the credit union to have a CEO who is involved in his or her community. The CEO must have the proven ability to think outside of the box.  Serious candidates will have credit union experience and will be willing to move to Roseburg, Oregon in order to fulfill the CEO responsibilities effectively. Reading people and adapting to necessary management skills is essential for success in this role.  The CEO will be able to build relationships, cultivate a team-oriented organizational culture, and have experience effectively coaching employees. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree.
