BRIGHTON, MI — Lake Trust Credit Union (Lake Trust), a community-based credit union serving nearly 200,000 members and businesses throughout Michigan, announced today that David Morgan has joined its leadership team as chief lending officer.
“David Morgan is a progressive, strategic leader with extensive experience in driving credit unions forward and positioning them to meet the evolving needs of the members and communities that they serve,” said David Snodgrass, president and CEO of Lake Trust. “I am certain he will bring a highly innovative, resourceful, and collaborative outlook to our executive and management teams, fostering strategies that support the enhanced financial well-being of our members and our communities.
In his new role, Morgan will be responsible for leading all facets of Lake Trust’s lending operations, including consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending. He will also collaborate closely with Lake Trust’s executive team, department leaders, and support staff across the organization to align lending initiatives with the organization’s overall business strategy.
“As a Community Development Financial Institution, Lake Trust is deeply committed to expanding economic opportunity in historically underserved communities across the state, and I look forward to working alongside our Lake Trust team and public and private sector partners to multiply positive impact in neighborhoods across Michigan,” said Morgan. “The team at DDJ Myers was instrumental in identifying and leading me to Lake Trust. I am grateful to have found an organization that shares my values and aligns with my professional passion.”
Morgan most recently served as the chief lending and credit officer at Case Credit Union and, prior to that, held similar roles at various financial institutions, including Notre Dame Federal Credit Union, Talmer Bank, and more. He holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational behavior from Princeton University.
